Job Description
A family of websites seeks a financial controller for a diverse set of duties including bookkeeping, accounting and administrative functions. In addition to supervisory work, this job involves daily bookkeeping and accounting duties. You will be working independently as the sole accountant, so you must have an independent, entrepreneurial personality. We're looking for someone who is ready to roll up his or her sleeves and do both footwork and administrative functions. We need a team player with good communication skills who can maintain relationships with company members in multiple locations.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong organizational skills: Able to organize and maintain financial records such as: Departmental activity accounts, monthly and yearly financial reports, phone bills, travel, and comp-time, and AP and AR.
- Mastery of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
- Knowledge of proper preparation of tabular materials, charts and statistical data.
- Knowledge of payroll, HR, and understanding government regulations and labor laws.
- Knowledge of Quickbooks Pro 2011.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Three to five years previous experience as a full charge bookkeeper; proficiency in financial data analysis.
