Front-End Developer / Senior or Lead Ready To Change The Experience of Luxury Online? We're a global authority on bespoke goods & luxury lifestyle, with 250 press articles (WSJ, FT, Forbes, Robb Report) We’re seeking a well-rounded and front-end developer who is ready to transform the experience of luxury online. You’ll work very independently and manage all front-end decision-making, while also executing on all front-end development. You will work closely with our Head of Tech and collaborate with our UI/UX Designer to develop a vision for and oversee all front-end development of our product. Our designer office in SoHo has a strong culture of creativity and accountability. First thing we built in our office was a bar, with a budget for a silver punch bowl. We think differently and have outside passions like falconry, mixology and rock climbing. We also know that sometimes you just want to be left alone, and that’s OK. We are an early-stage startup, just closed our series A round and have significant revenue. We have a small team, and are looking for a collaborative and creative developer who can bring new ideas to our management team. We are looking for someone who keeps up on front-end technologies and wants to try out new tools and techniques.

The ideal candidate:

• Significant startup experience, and experience building scaling web applications
• HTML5 / CSS3 knowledge and expertise in cross-browser support
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript expertise, preferably with some experience in both jQuery and Backbone.js
• Experience with mobile technologies helpful
• Experience with test-driven development helpful, ability to QA your own work is a necessity
• Comfort in managing releases and determining release schedules
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage expectations
• Knowledge of Ruby and/or PHP helpful
