About This Job:

We are looking for a talented individual that can help us get our initial proof of concept off the ground this spring. We have the majority of the user requirements, UI, and wireframes completed, and now we need someone who can help us execute on our plan. If selected, you will work closely with the founder whose efforts will primarily be focused on business development for the pilot. You will be responsible for product development of phase one which will be a responsive mobile site planned to launch in the spring. Phase two will be the development of native iOS and Android applications. Many aspects of functionality and design have been determined, but are entirely open to your suggestions. Your role will be key in the application’s creation. This is a great opportunity of an individual looking to build a portfolio and to get in at the ground level on a growing social enterprise.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of the app store ecosystem
  • Good understanding of the full software development
  • Good knowledge of Android and iOS development
  • Sense of humor and ability to work in a fast paced startup environment

Compensation

  • Equity
  • Co-founder title after 12 months

This can be a part-time or full-time opportunity with flexible hours that begins immediately. We are pushing to launch the new application by March. Opportunities will likely exist for long-term involvement after our first round of fundraising this spring. The preferred applicant will be based in New York City, but other locations will be considered. Compensation is negotiable and will be in the form of deferred equity.
