How did you come up with the name AdKiwi?

The concept behind AdKiwi is to provide a white-label technology platform that enables entrepreneurs and media companies to build, manage and grow their own vertical ad networks. My team and I wanted to come up with a company name that would reflect our product’s industry as well as character. We wanted our name to denote something innovative and fresh in the advertising space and we did just that with “AdKiwi”… "Ad" tells you that we are all about advertising and "Kiwi" is for adding a unique freshness and taste to the industry!

AdKiwi’s website went live on the 20th of December. Can you name some notable ups and downs at your company since the launch?

Shortly after going live we decided to take a step back and really beef up our platform to position ourselves for faster future growth. While we did lose some short term revenues we believe that the move was crucial as it will provide lots of benefits for us and our clients in the near future. With the growing number of recent product inquiries from potential clients we are confident that the move we made was the correct one!

What’s your favorite startup here in NYC (besides your own) and why?

Wow, that’s a real tough one! NYC has so many great startups, but I will have to go with AdStruc. They are tackling a multi-billion dollar outdoor advertising market and are really disrupting the existing industry! There is great demand for their service offering and advertisers and outdoor ad space owners really benefit from them. Also, I love their team! They are really intelligent and resourceful guys!

Do you have any hobbies or things that you enjoy doing outside of work? We tried to dig up some things online, but we came up empty.

I actually love to work-out! Spending time in the gym not only helps keep me fit both physically and mentally, but also provides some spare time for me to reflect on my life and relieve some of the daily stress. I guess I am one of the few people who actually look forward to going to the gym :))
